What happens if it rains and my ceremony is outside?
If your ceremony is outside, you cannot book without a rain plan. The majority of our chuppahs are handmade and are not meant to withstand harsh winds & rain. If there is more than a 50% chance of rain on your wedding day according to the national weather service, weather.gov, we reserve the right to not set up outside.
Are Tents considered “outdoors”?
All of our chuppah’s EXCEPT our copper chuppah can be set up in a tent/outdoor pavilion. Our Copper Chuppah must be surrounded by 4 walls and a roof.
Can I make changes to my contract after signing it?
I allow changes to be made up until a month before the wedding. Once the final deposit is paid, I do not allow anymore changes.
How many weddings can you do in one day?
Since my husband and I are the only employees of Mr. & Mrs. Chuppah, we can only accommodate one wedding per day.
Do you stay on-site the whole time?
No, once the chuppah is set up we leave and come back after the ceremony is over. Once we set up the chuppah It cannot be moved. If you would like us to stay on site until breakdown we charge $30/hr.
Does the chuppah need a canopy?
Traditionally yes, a chuppah is not considered a chuppah without a piece of fabric (tallit, our sheer white canopy, a family table cloth, etc.) acting as a canopy.
Can I use my own Tallis as a canopy?
Of course! If you do not have your own Tallis, you can use our white canopy free of charge or rent a tallis from us.
Why can’t we accommodate Friday weddings from September-June?
My husband is my only employee and he is a full time teacher, so he is in school on Fridays!
We do make exceptions for local weddings with a set-up time after 4pm.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have full liability insurance!
Why is the copper chuppah only available for indoor weddings?
Although all of our chuppahs are stable, the copper chuppah is the lightest of them all. To ensure everyones safety we only offer it for indoor weddings.
Can you set up the night before?
It depends on if your venue allows it and how far your venue is from Cherry Hill.
We want our parents to stand under the chuppah with us. Which chuppah can best accommodate this?
We suggest our Gold or Cedar Chuppah if you want your parents to stand with you on your special day. If you feel those chuppahs are still too small, we would love to customize something for you!
Can you repurpose our chuppah flowers after our ceremony?
Yes! just send us an email letting us know where you want them repurposed!
Where are you located?
We are located in Cherry Hill, NJ. Travel up to 100 miles is included in the cost of the rental. Anything over 100 miles is an extra charge.
Do you set up the Handheld Chuppah?
Our Handheld Chuppah consists of 4 birch poles with hooks at the top which attach to a sheer white canopy. We will drop the chuppah off at your venue with a wedding planner or an aforementioned trusted person. We will come back to pick up the chuppah during your cocktail hour. We only rent our handheld chuppah to weddings taking place within 20 miles of Cherry Hill, NJ.
I am providing my own florals. Can my Wedding Planner put them up?
Unfortunately, for liability reasons only florists or a Mr. & Mrs. Chuppah team member can put florals/decorations on the chuppah. Thank you for understanding.
What kind of florals do you use?
We source all of our florals from Ling’s Moment.
Do you have a lucite or acrylic chuppah?
No, and unfortunately, we will not be getting one.
I’m looking for something custom, what can you make?
We can customize any size birch, cedar or copper chuppah up to an 8ft x 8ft frame. If you want the chuppah painted/stained a certain color, we can do that as well! Let us know your vision!
